Four Greenwave football standouts have made their dream of playing college football a reality. On April 12, 2006, seniors Ryan Redmon, Keith Medley, and Eli Dix will be playing for All-Mid South Conference member Kentucky Wesleyan (www.kwc.com) next fall. Redmon was recruited at linebacker, Medley as a defensive/offensive lineman, and Dix as a punter/kicker. On the other hand Bryan Dowell will be joining former Greenwave Kyle Hall (’05) and be suiting up next fall for Div. I-AA Morehead State University (www.msueagles.com). Dowell has been recruited to play wide receiver and special teams.

Statistically these four Greenwave led the team in almost every category from 2004-2005.

“These guys have put in the effort to get to the next level. All of these kids were such a big part of our football program. They will be hard to replace on and off the field. We (coaching staff) wish them all success and an enjoyable college experience. We hope in four years we will be putting their pictures up on the Greenwave Wall of Fame, said Head Coach Larry Mofield. The wall of fame was established in 2004, and recognizes former football players that played four years of collegiate football and achieved a degree.”
