All Fit
with Slim Goodbody: All Fit Workout - 15 minute video - Slim Goodbody presents
the program "All Fit Workout" with a song that tells about the benefits
of a regular fitness workout. He explains that a workout is like a story, with
a beginning (a warm-up exercise), a middle (exercises that promote strength,
endurance, agility), and an end (a cool-down exercise). Slim asks viewers to
find their personal space and join him in a warm-up exercise that includes stretching
and jogging-in-place. At Slim's Gym, Slim, Slenda, and the All Fit Team demonstrate
exercises using their bicep and tricep muscles. They challenge viewers to push-ups
and abdominal curls to increase their strength and endurance. Then Slenda leads
viewers in cardiorespiratory exercises that include moving from side-to-side,
pushing hands out, hopscotch, and the swing kick. After Slim asks the All Fit
Team and viewers to feel for their pulse at the side of their neck, he leads
the group in a cool-down exercise. Slim explains that while vigorous exercise
may tire a person out for a little while, in the long run, it is building strength
and endurance. Slim concludes the program by asking everyone to join him in
the All Fit Pledge. Grade Level: from Gr. 1 to Gr. 4 Run

Health and Safety: Feeling Good with Good Hygiene - This clever and lively
child-centered presentation does much more than present the do’s and don’ts
of proper hygiene. It shows why good hygiene habits are important to us. Good
hygiene, as the program illustrates, keeps us healthy, helps us feel good about
ourselves, and helps us make and keep friends. The video shows how cleanliness
keeps germ growth at bay–on the hands, hair, and neck; and in the mouth,
ears, and elsewhere. Proper techniques for hand-washing, tooth brushing (as
well as flossing), and hair care are discussed. bathroom sanitation is covered,
also, as is what to do when the skin is cut and what kind of special precautions
must be taken when a person gets a cold. Grade Level: from K to Gr. 4 Run Time:
